Owner, Teacher and Reiki Master, Christy Dole came to her yoga mat for the first time in her early twenties. Back then it was a good switch up to her vigorous workout routine. She fell in love with Yoga when it taught her ways to free herself from heavy or negative thought patterns. It literally changed her life! She is honored to pursue her dream and open up a space for other spiritual seekers to practice yoga and receive holistic treatments. Why Wakefield? Well, her husband is a native and she really loves the lake!
Christy is a 200 hr RYT and Registered through Yoga Alliance. She received her 200hrs at A Yoga Practice in Georgetown Ma and her Children's Certification through Color Me Yoga. In 2013 she received her Hip Hop Certification from Back Bay Yoga under the leadership of Lynne Begier and Goldie Kaufenberg. Her studies continue as she embarks on a 5 month mentorship under one of Boston's Best, Ame Wren. She will be certified in Yin Yoga in August under local great, Josh Summers. She is level 1 Integrated Energy Therapy and Reiki Master.
Her classes are taught with a fun mix of compassion and humor. Her approach and philosophy is that Yoga is for every BODY and everybody. She loves to take new classes, learn new modalities and share Yoga and energy healing with anyone whose interested.
Christy teaches Yoga Flow, Gentle Yoga, Hip Hop Yoga, and Yummy Restorative. She is getting certified in Pre-Natal and Yin Yoga in 2013 and is excited to bring those classes to BALANCE.
Reiki and IET are available by appointment and Reiki trainings will be held throughout the year.

Tracy Marullo is a born and raised Boston girl with her Group Exercise Certification through AFAA. She is teaching Tone and Sculpt- a class designed to shape your body using light weights and resistant bands with traditional Yoga poses. Her goal is to bring a new, unique and fun way for people to train their bodies. She believes working out should be fun and wants that to be the base of her practice.
You can catch Tracy participating in Flash Mobs around the city or sipping Scorpion Bowls at your local Chinese eatery.
Kate believes that everyone can find their bliss in a regular yoga practice. Her classes include a focus on proper alignment that is designed to be accessible to all levels of practitioners. Infused into her classes are encouragement, humor, and an emphasis on the shared human experiences within the group. Kate’s passion lies in guiding practitioners to feeling strength and comfort in their mind, body, and soul.
Since coming to the practice reluctantly five years ago, Kate has learned that even the most cynical of practitioners (ie herself) can find outer and inner strength through yoga. Once she realized the amazing power of yoga, she furthered her yogic journey by completing her 200-hour training with B Yoga Center in Melrose. Kate will be teaching Gentle Yoga Thursdays at 7:30pm starting January 2013.
Monica found her yoga practice in her twenties as a way to compliment her running routine. What she didn’t expect was to find a deep connection to herself, to discover the roots of her fears, and to evolve from self destructive habits into loving compassion for herself and those she meets. Monica enjoys teaching from a place of compassion, but still evokes a challenging class that uses fun sequencing and good alignment to help free up the body and open the heart. She received her 200 hr yoga certification and pre-natal yoga certification in 2011 at South Boston Yoga. Monica is also a certified holistic health coach, a new mommy, and a dog lover. Monica teaches All Levels and Pre-Natal Yoga at Balance

Meet Tegan..."I honestly can't remember the first time I practiced yoga. I just remember liking the similarity to dance and enjoying the quiet personal sanctuary my mat offered me, which kept me coming back for more. My practice has been slowly and steadily growing over the past ten years and with it igniting a curiosity for a deeper understanding of Yoga.
A few years ago, feeling burnt out as a body worker, I decided to satisfy that curiosity and study with Paul Dallaghan, a student of Pattabhi Jois, on Koh Samui, Thailand for my teacher training. Paul teaches in the tradition of Ashtanga but with a modern view to appeal to the western world.
With focus on alignment and yogic philosophy, my approach allows for playfulness and modifications for every-body. Inspired by the teachings of Kriya Yoga, I encourage my students to simply "get up and do", and the rest will follow-commitment to action, surrender to the mystery."
Tegan teaches at Balance Tuesday's at 6:15pm ALL LEVELS and will be bringing a workshop class called CORE AND RESTORE this Summer!
